I'm having trouble with Verizon again. 85th call. I'm exaggerating. 75th.
Simple stuff. I'm asking for repairs for the fact that:
1. I can't retrieve my voicemail; and
2. A line that's rolled over to another for 25 years suddenly has stopped "hunting."
In the course of trying to straighten this out:
- I've been told three times that I placed an order for the lines to be disconnected;
- I've been told the line WAS disconnected, the very line I was calling them on;
- I've been transferred to the technician's (not technical) support line where I could receive assistance for installing a T1 line or a "pod;" and
- Finally, in the Bizarre Telephone Transfer of the year, I WAS JUST TRANSFERRED BY VERIZON TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY CENTER FOR GAS LEAKS, a division of Amerigas, the gas company.
Sorry for the screaming. Does anyone have a tin can and a string available?
