Same flowers, same day, 30 degrees warmer than it was when I took the ones below, 10 hours earlier. When we moved here, these peonies were at the far edge of the yard, where shade had taken over. I moved them to the vegetable garden where they stayed for many years. Four years ago, I moved them again, this time to the south-facing front where there's always sun.

Thanks, Susan and Barb. B, you have to come by and see them. Soon! I'm not sure why they're so spectacular this year. Maybe because I've been talking to them? (Susan, you're welcome to come take a look too but it would be a bit of a journey, yes?)
