I'm building my link list over in the next column. When these lists become too long, I glaze over so my intention is to include only the stars, according, of course, to the Jessica Lipnack Roster of Fine Links.
Here then my first cut, in alpha order, apparently by first word in the link:
Eliza Stamps, fine artist, close relative, as per below. There will be many more posts. Mother, restrain thyself.
Emily LaMont, another fine artist, close friend, co-founder of Fiction Book Club, advisor on matters of state.
NetAge--thirteen years on the web and, oh, our site.
Nova Spivack's blog, one of the early ones, Minding the Planet. -- in an age where original thinking is often spare, Nova is a de novo. He turned us on to the web many moons ago, conspired with us to kickoff MassNet, an early attempt to transform the Boston area into a more collaborative culture, and, when I'm feeling mind-dull, I go to his blog. Grandson of, get this, Peter Drucker, son of poet Kathleen Spivack, he's got the genes for genius.
Ron Currie, Jr, soon-to-be-wildly-famous author of God is Dead. I was lucky to meet Ron a couple of years ago through Francis Ford Coppola's immeasurably grand gift to the writing community, Zoetrope.com. Ron's book, which comes out July 9, is already getting raves. Look for this one, his next, and the many more to come.
I've been reading/studying/inhaling Paul Levy's blog, Running a Hospital for the past six months. Warning: It's addictive. If I were still a practicing journalist, I would have written a profile of him by now. He's running a major medical center where the walls are made of glass--not the easy kinds of walls to make glass but the truly opaque ones. Lest I lapse into journalism, go take a look and bookmark it. Just this week, he began publishing all their stats, this, after publishing his salary and asking readers if he's paid too much. And he's funny.
Hungry? Wondering what it's like to travel through the Australian outback? Ever thought of chucking it all and taking a road trip through Asia? Read Turkeynose. Miranda Stamps, production #1 of Jeff Stamps and yours truly, and her husband, Jay Albany, were hard-working New Yorkers when they decided to take the trip the rest of us dream about. They have meticulously and hilariously recorded their adventures. Most recently, Miranda has taken a 12-day professional cooking course in Thailand, adding to her already prodigious culinary skills. Can't wait for them to get home--soup's on (shrimp curry soup, that is).
Xujun Eberlein is another fine writer whom I met through Zoetrope (double tx to Mr. Coppola). She's just won The Tartt Prize for First Fiction. Her story collection, tentatively titled, Apologies Forthcoming, contains remarkable work. That she's a PhD in Transportation Engineering from MIT writing in English as her second language underscores her talent.

Thank you for this really eclectic set of stops in blogosphere. Given your interests, I would recommend http://www.bryanappleyard.com/blog/ Bryan is a very knowledgeable journalist who loves poetry and has wicked sense of humour plus loyal following.
How do you intend to keep your interest in writing here regularly?

Buncha ideas, Lilly. Reviewing and recommending books, articles, and the like, occasionally pontificating on my views, and every now and then posting something I've written, esp when relevant to the topic. Any ideas you have, much appreciated. And thanks for the tip on Bryan's blog.
